Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why should I send my child to Star Camps?

The reason you should send your child to Star Camps is that the focus of Star Camps is for children to learn the skills of the sport they have chosen, but more importantly, to really enjoy and have fun playing that sport. The other key to Star Camps is that all the people running programs are teachers. We deal with this age group not just in the summer but also throughout the year. Most of my staff has been with me for many, many years - some as many as fifteen or twenty years - and they truly love creating a positive and fun camp experience.

2. Should I send my child for a half or full day?

Star Camp programs are run as a half-day morning or full day. For a full experience, we recommend a full day session. The camps that are run as a full-day are paced so that the child can enjoy the full extent of the 9:00-3:00 time period. If you are choosing a half-day, Star Camps offers a morning half-day program only.

3. Do you serve lunch and if not, how should I package my child's lunch?

Star Camps does not serve lunch but campers can purchase slice(s) of pizza and Gatorade drinks for lunch. Lunch orders with payment are taken at camper check-in at 9:00am. Star Camps does provide free juice and water throughout the day. All lunches should come in an insulated cooler.

4. Does Star Camps offer Extended Day?

Extended Day is offered Monday through Friday of every week from 3:00-5:30. The fee is $100 per week or $25 per day for each child. Drop-off at Star Camps can occur anytime after 8:15 for no charge.

NEW* We now offer swimming during extended day at the Beede Swim Center (located directly across from Star Camps facility at Concord-Carlisle High School).

5. How does pick-up work if someone other than a parent picks up a child?

If a parent cannot pick up a child and someone else is to do it, a note or phone call must be received at Star Camps to notify the Camp about who is picking up that child.

6. What is your refund policy?

Star Camps' refund policy is that deposits are non-refundable and balances are refundable before the start of camp. Once camp is started, there are no refunds given. In the case of illness or injury, Star Camps very often will issue credit toward another week of camp.

7. What equipment will my child need for Star Camps?

Each of Star Camps' sports requires different equipment. You can view the equipment list here or check the catalog to get specific information. If you do have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Star Camps.

8. Do you have a nurse on site?

Yes. We have a nurse at all times and many of the staff have first aid training.
